Unite with me in the cancer fight and support my fundraising efforts

Hi friends and family - I've recently signed up to ride in the 100-mile Livestrong Challenge in Philadelphia on August 23rd. This charity bike race is run by the Livestrong Foundation to raise awareness and funding for cancer research.

Unfortunately, we all probably have a relative or friend affected by cancer. For me, I've had several family members that are thankfully cancer survivors, but have also lost a few special people in my life prematurely... my beloved Aunt, Thea Chrysa Kolokousis passed away on the day of my college graduation in 1989, and Uncle Gus Haris succomed to melanoma back in 2004.

This past year, one of our friends up here in NJ, Steve Gristina was diagnosed with a form of stomach cancer. Steve has been through a very rough year, and through it all, he and his wife Andrea have been very inspiring, always having a postive, upbeat attitude. I'm happy to report that Steve is doing very well, and even played some hoops at the park with us recently!

Steve's situation has motivated me to ride this race on behalf of him and in memory of Thea Chrysa and Uncle Gus in order to do what I can to help fight this disease.
