My friends...
In 2006 my father passed away from lung cancer. He followed my mother who died of breast cancer in 1999. Too many of us know someone within our circle of friends and family who have been affected by cancer. Wouldn't it be great if our children could grow up in era where cancer is not the scourge that it is now?

Elden Nelson, the author and namesake of the Fat Cyclist blog has formed a fundraising team for each of the 4 LiveStrong rides across the country. His goal is to be the largest team in each city, to be the biggest fundraiser in each city, and to raise a total of $1,000,000 to fight cancer. Elden has a personal stake in it as his wife Susan is fighting cancer today. Indeed, we all have a personal stake in this fight.

I've joined Team Fat Cyclist - Fighting for Susan for the Philadelphia LiveStrong ride. Please help me make a difference in the cancer fight through the LIVESTRONG Challenge.
