Unite with me in the cancer fight and support my fundraising efforts

I've signed up to participate in the Philadelphia LIVESTRONG Challenge again this year. Today, there are more than 12 million people living with cancer in United States, and close to 1.5 million people in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer this year alone. Three out of four families in America will be faced with caring for a family member with cancer.

You may already know how passionate I've been about cycling. I've taken on the challenge the last three years, continuing to increase the course every year. Last year I successfully conquered the 100 mile course which was filled with continuous rolling hills and some treacherous climbs. The stories told before the race by survivors, and the thoughts of loved ones who have faced cancer, especially my Grandmother's current battle, helped me get through the ride. Because of the kindness of friends and family like you, I've raised nearly $10,000 in total over the last three years. I've had friends and family members suffer through the battle, but this year holds a personal significance for me to celebrate my Grandmother remission of breast cancer. I'm planning on improving on my performance last year in honor of her struggle against cancer, riding 100 miles again and setting a goal of $5,000.

We have all been effected by cancer in some way or other. Please support me as I make a difference in the battle against cancer, with my participation in the LIVESTRONG Challenge, which benefits the Lance Armstrong Foundation. Also, the Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF) is a tax deductible charitable organization that many companies will match employee contributions to. The LAF inspires and empowers people affected by cancer. They believe that unity is strength, knowledge is power, and attitude is everything.
